Abstract
The use of absorption spectra has increased remarkably in recent years as a method of assay, as a characteristic physical property, and as a tool for practical or theoretical investigations of chemical structure. The quantity of spectral data has become so large that an increasing proportion of it is presented in tabular rather than in graphical form.
