Feature Issue of Biomedical Optics Express

Optical Molecular Probes, Imaging and Drug Delivery 2023

Submission Opens:1 May 2023

Submission Deadline: 1 September 2023

Biomedical Optics Express welcomes submissions to a feature issue in conjunction with the Optical Molecular Probes, Imaging and Drug Delivery (OMP) topical meeting being held on 24-27 April 2023 as part of Optica’s Biophotonics Congress in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Whereas meeting participants are particularly encouraged to submit their work, this feature issue is open to all contributions in related areas.

The feature issue will cover recent advances in imaging and sensing of biomolecular processes and pathways; reporters and contrast agents; advanced optical molecular imaging instrumentation and methods; novel tools and approaches for image data analysis and reconstruction; optical imaging and monitoring of drug delivery; fluorescent phantoms and quantitative validation methods; multi-modal molecular imaging techniques; pre-clinical applications of optical molecular imaging and spectroscopy; and clinical translation of optical molecular imaging, spectroscopy including image guided surgery and therapy.

All submissions need to present original, previously unpublished work and will be subject to the normal standards and peer review processes of the journal. The standard Biomedical Optics Express Article Processing Charges will apply to all published articles. To be eligible for publication, an expanded conference paper needs to add value to the original conference proceedings and the conference paper number must be included in a cover letter or as a note in the submission form. Please see Optica Publishing Group's guidelines on expanded conference papers for details.

Please prepare manuscripts according to the author instructions for submission to Biomedical Optics Express and submit through the Prism submission system, specifying from the drop-down menu that the manuscript is for the feature issue on Optical Molecular Probes, Imaging and Drug Delivery 2023.
