Abstract
Considerable efforts have been devoted to realize efficient electron injection in
polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs) for better charge balance and higher efficiencies.
Efficient electron injection can be achieved through interfacial engineering such as
modification of electrodes using self-assembled monolayers and introduction of polymer
interlayer. The focus of this paper is to review the materials, device structures and
performance of PLEDs incorporating polymer interlayers.
