The Transmission of Infra-Red Light by Fog

Abstract

The transmission by 0.244 km of foggy atmosphere has been measured in the infra-red spectrum from 1 to 12μ with a residual ray apparatus employing quartz plates, and with an infra-red spectrometer. The transmission curves when corrected for the transmission of the clear atmosphere were found to be nonselective with wave-length.
