Abstract
A brief discussion showing the significance of substituting wave number for wavelength in the radiation formulas is presented. Expressions for the corollaries of the Wien displacement law are given as well as energy curves based on the Planck equation. A straight line relationship is shown to exist between temperature and wave number at maximum energy.
An appendix contains a bibliography on blackbody radiation since 1930.
