Abstract

A previous paper reported water vapor transmission spectra for the region 20 μ to 31.7 μ. This paper covers the region 29 μ to 40 μ under the same conditions as nearly as possible. The path length is 196 meters and the spectral resolution here is about 5 cm−1 at 40 μ, the slit width being fixed as before. The water vapor partial pressure ranges from 0.015 to 0.6 cm Hg and the nitrogen partial pressures from 0 to 60 cm.
