Infrared Absorption of Three-Layer Films

Not Accessible

Abstract

The infrared absorption of three-layer films as presented here is a generalization of Hilsum’s solution to the problem. This infrared absorption is dependent on the optical parameters of the film, which in Hilsum’s calculation were the same for the entrance and exit film. The present calculation considers different optical parameters for the entrance and exit film; an absorption of over 95% is obtainable.
