Synchronous Wavelength Sweep of a Diffraction Grating and Fabry-Perot Interferometer

Abstract

To obtain a wavelength sweep of a Fabry-Perot interferometer and a diffraction grating, both may be placed in communicating pressure chambers in which the gas pressure is varied with time. If the pressure in the two chambers is always equalized, the sweep will be synchronous.
