Abstract

Vacuum wavelength values for some of the lines in the spectra of Kr86 and Hg198 have been derived by comparison with a Michelson type Cadmium lamp, by using a 67.5-mm Fabry-Perot etalon as the intermediary. The same lines have been intercompared by means of a Twyman-Green interferometer, referring to the Hg198 green line wavelength as 5462.2704A. The half-widths of the lines were also measured.
