Abstract

A preliminary energy level scheme for Pu II has been established based on 125 Zeeman patterns obtained with an Echelle-Littrow spectrograph and a magnetic field of approximately 24 000 oersteds. The low electronic configuration involves the 6,8F terms from 5f67s. Seven low even levels and 84 high odd levels are given.
