Abstract

This paper compares the rotating-reticle tracking system with two variants of the conical-scan system. It is shown that the accuracy of the rotating reticle system is inherently limited by the size of the target image, and that the conical-scan systems have no similar limitation. For target acquisition, however, the rotating-reticle system is found to be superior.
