Mode Hopping and Tuning of Thin CdSe Platelet Lasers

Abstract

Time-resolved spectroscopy using an image-converter streak camera has been utilized to detect mode jumping and mode tuning in thin, optically pumped, CdSe platelet lasers operated at low temperatures. Both effects are results of an increase of sample temperature.
