Analysis of Holographic Multiple-Beam Interferometry

Abstract

Sharp multiple-beam fringes can be obtained with a nonlinearly recorded hologram. It is shown that the phase retardations that appear in diffracted waves from a hologram play important roles in defining the distribution of irradiance in the fringes. The method of measuring phase retardation is also shown.
