Field-compensated interferometers with reflecting optics

Abstract

Interferometers without refracting elements have the advantage of freedom from chromatic aberrations and absorption bands. The aberrations of four versions of interferometers with reflecting optics are discussed in this article, two of which have parabolic optics, one hyperbolic optics, and one a “thick” confocal system.
