Abstract

Radiative lifetimes of 14 levels of Xe i and 16 levels of Xe ii have been measured by use of an electron-impact method and single-photon counting. Results are compared with other experimental data and with calculations performed in the Coulomb approximation, assuming j1k coupling for the Xe i levels and L S coupling for the Xe ii levels.
