Abstract

Beam–foil spectra of the different neon ions Ne iii–Ne vii have been studied between 80 and 350 Å at a beam energy of 2 and 1 MeV. Mean lives of excited levels have been measured. New lines in Ne v are identified as transitions from the 2s22p3p(3S 3P 3D) terms, for which the term energies are deduced.
