Correction to the theory of the Goos-Hänchen shift by Lotsch

Abstract

A correction is made to the theory of total internal reflection presented by Lotsch. With this correction his expression for the Goos-Hänchen shift is found to have a nonzero value for the case of grazing incidence, in agreement with the results of other authors.
