Very-high-resolution far-infrared measurements of atmospheric emission from aircraft

Abstract

An absolute spectrometric radiometer has been flown on a NASA CV990 aircraft to measure atmospheric emission in the spectral range 5–40 cm−1 with a resolution of 0.02 cm−1 apodized. The instrument and the results are described.
