Abstract

Lifetimes of some levels belonging to the 4p5nd (n = 4,5,6,7) configurations of the Kr i atom have been measured by the delayed coincidence method. To our knowledge, no previous experimental results exist for these levels. The lifetime values are compared with calculations performed in this work in jK coupling and the Coulomb approximation, and with the intermediate coupling results given by other authors who have used different methods to calculate the radial part of the transition probabilities.
