Analysis of the spectral imaging capabilities of a moving grating interferometric spectrometer

Abstract

A modified spectrometer capable of producing monochromatic images at selected wavelengths by-simple electrical filtering is described. The general equation is derived describing the dependence of the image on the partially coherent input. Two special cases with an incoherent input are calculated and qualitatively verified.
