Argon branching ratios for spectral-intensity calibration

Abstract

Branching ratios have been measured for 104 emission lines from 24 levels in Ar i and Ar II. These branching ratios may be used to calibrate the relative detection efficiency of a spectrometer over the 2900–23000-Å wavelength range.
