Abstract

In a crossed laser–atomic-beam experiment, three 20Ne wavelengths are measured to a precision of 1 part in 109. Our values for these transitions are (2p5–1s3) 6268.228974(6), (2p8–1s5) 6336.180256(6), and (2p7–1s3) 6534.687792(7) Å. Our results disagree with previous, less-precise experiments; however, the disagreement can be explained in terms of the isotope shift between 20Ne and 22Ne.
