Abstract

The author points out two errors in a reference in a paper by Elzinga and de Weert [ J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 3, 1173 ( 1986)] and their failure to acknowledge the magnitude scaling aspect of B. C. Wilson’s work [ B. C. Wilson, Ph.D. dissertation ( University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Mich., 1964)].
