Abstract
Stimulated Raman scattering is used in a Fourier setup to transfer spatial information from the exciting laser wavelength to a Raman laser wavelength. The influence of the Raman phase is demonstrated. After sufficient amplification, the Raman phase fluctuations produced by the initial noise are much smaller than the propagating phase. A stable Raman phase transverse profile is built, permitting the transfer of information from a laser object to a Raman image.
