Abstract
We demonstrate a design of an all-ferrodielectric metasurface that provides sufficient enhancement of the Faraday rotation due to the particular grating mode excitation. The metasurface is composed of an array of square ferrodielectric prisms (open dielectric resonators). The array is situated on a dielectric substrate. The conditions of the grating mode excitation are revealed for different geometrical parameters of the resonators forming the array. It is found that at the corresponding resonant frequency of the grating mode excitation, the Faraday rotation is increased several times compared with those existing for the bare uniform ferrodielectric layer having the same thickness. The effect is confirmed in the microwave measurements.
