Abstract

Polarization spectra of homogeneously and inhomogeneously broadened two-level systems are calculated. The observed remarkable differences can be used for the identification of the type of broadening. Experimental evidence of the spectral homogeneity of an ethanol solution of Malachite Green Oxalate is presented.
