Abstract

A method of analyzing and processing patterns of interference fringes is proposed that ensures efficient noise suppression, phase reconstruction, and determination of the local characteristics of the fringes, such as the local frequency, the amplitude, and the local direction of the fringes. The experimental results of the phase reconstruction and the determination of the characteristics of interferograms of various forms confirmed that the method has high noise immunity and accuracy.
