Abstract

The authors consider the problem of choosing light sources for helicopter equipment compatible with aviation night-vision goggles. A mathematical model for equivalent illuminance calculation in a photocathode plane created by helicopter cabin light sources is obtained. Based on this model and resource specifications of Generation 3 and $3+$ image intensifier tubes, we analyze the impact of the light environment created by helicopter light equipment and its impact on the operational resources of the image intensifier tubes depending on the applied light sources.
