For those institutions that subscribe to an individual title or titles in 2022, we provide complimentary access to the prior 10 years of content (or back to 2012) in addition to newly published content in 2022.
There are four options available to single title subscribers for expanding access to a journal's backfile:
- Add the "Leased Extended Backfile" Product to the Purchase of a Subscription. Subscribers who wish access to all available content related to an individual title—rather than just back to 2011—will need to subscribe to the "leased extended backfile" product for a small fee.
- Upgrade to One of Optica Publishing Group's Package Products. We provide complimentary access to the complete backfiles of all products included in our various package products including E-Combinations 1 through 4, Optics InfoBase, and Optics InfoBase Premium.
- Purchase a Single Title Digital Archive Product. We offer several Single Title Digital Archive products. Institutions can purchase perpetual access to the archives of Applied Optics, Optics Letters, the Journal of the Optical Society of America A, and/or the Journal of the Optical Society of America B. Each single title Digital Archive includes access to all content published for that journal—either from issue 1 to 2006 "(Journal Name) Digital Archive 1" or from 2007 to 2011 "(Journal Name) Digital Archive 2" or from 2016 to 2020 "(Journal Name) Digital Archive 3".
- Purchase One of Optica Publishing Group's Digital Archive Package Options. Institutions interested in providing access to the full backfile or portions of it in perpetuity can make a one-time purchase for one of our Digital Archive package products. They include the Centennial Archive (which includes more than 256,000 journal articles and conference papers from 1917 to 2015); the Digital Archive 1 (which includes roughly 135,000 journal articles and conference papers published between 1917 and 2005); the Digital Archive 2 (which includes more than 121,000 journal and conference papers published between 2006 and 2015); and Digital Archive 3 (which includes more than 54,000 journal and conference papers from 2016 to 2020).
