X-ray shadowgraphing in laser-produced plasma experiments

Abstract

We discuss a design for an x-ray framing camera. Shadowgraphing experiments using a laser-generated x-ray source demonstrate that 5-μm spatial resolution can be obtained for this camera with less than 7 J of laser energy to produce the x-ray source.
