Laser-diode holographic recording

Abstract

We report the recording of optical holograms in both holographic plate films and thermoplastic film using a commercial single-mode laser diode having a wavelength of 787.3 nm. Holographic film characteristics and laser-diode coherence length studies as well as experimental results with simple plane-wave holograms are discussed.
