Abstract

We describe time-resolved fluorescence decay measurements of atomic hydrogen in 20-Torr flames using two-photon, 205-nm excitation with 50-psec laser pulses. These studies provide measurements of the variations in collisional quenching rates of hydrogen atoms measured directly in combustion environments.
