Abstract

Intracavity four-wave mixing in single-mode diode lasers operating above threshold is shown to phase conjugate optical path differences. This capability, in conjunction with observed conjugate reflectivities in excess of 104, makes diode-laser conjugators an attractive and potentially monolithically integratable conjugator technology for semiconductor optoelectronics.
