Abstract
Two recent determinations of the 91Zr hyperfine structure in the z5F1 level of Zr I are found to differ by a factor of almost 5. A reexamination of the data confirms the results obtained in our previous investigation: A(z5F1) = 273.6 ± 0.3 MHz, B(z5F1) = 5.9 ± 0.6 MHz, and hence δν = −99.6 ± 1.0 MHz for the 91Zr–90Zr isotope shift in the 595.5-nm (a3F2–z5F1) ground-state transition.
