Analysis of photorefractive Fabry–Perot étalons: a novel device

Abstract

We propose and analyze the properties of photorefractive Fabry–Perot étalons that consist of photorefractive crystal plates with high-reflectance coatings. Some new phenomena such as nonreciprocity, bandwidth narrowing, and broadening are presented.
