Diffusion theory of guided photon-density waves

Abstract

A theoretical formulation of diffuse photon-density waves propagating in a waveguide structure, which consists of two regions with different wave speeds, is presented. In comparison with the usual optical waveguides for coherent radiation, unique features of the guided photon-density waves are found.
