Abstract
Self-pumped phase conjugation is experimentally studied in the usual 0°-cut potassium niobate crystals doped with either manganese or cobalt. Phase-conjugate reflectivities as high as 52% and 32% are obtained for these two kinds of crystal in the mirrorless cat configuration at 488 nm. The influence of experimental conditions, such as the incidence angle, the incident position, and the incident intensity, on phase conjugation are studied.
