Abstract
We have succeeded in the simultaneous stabilization of the optical frequency and repetition rate of a regeneratively mode-locked picosecond erbium-doped fiber ring laser. The optical frequency was locked to the molecular absorption of in the band, and the repetition rate was stabilized to a synthesizer by using a microwave phase-locked loop. The optical frequency stability of the pulse train reached for . The key to success is the independent control of the repetition rate without disturbing the optical cavity condition.
