Abstract
When sequence-inversed-keying, direct-sequence, code-division multiplexing as a multiplexing technology for optical fiber serial networks is applied, only one code is needed to address the individual nodes. We describe research on optimum “balanced codes.” The surpassing improvement in comparison with standard pseudonoise codes will be discussed in depth.
