Abstract

An essentially one-step lensless method is proposed to make a rainbow hologram of a two-dimensional transparent object. The method consists of making a master hologram of a diffuse slit. When conjugate illumination is used, the reconstructed slit wave illuminates the transparency, and a second hologram is made by using the transmitted wave in either of two ways.
