Single-Molecule Detection with Microtoroid Resonators

Not Accessible

Your library or personal account may give you access

Abstract

Single-molecule detection is one of the fundamental challenges of modern biology. Such experiments often use labels that can be expensive, difficult to produce and, for small analytes, might perturb the molecular events being studied. We have recently created a biological and chemical sensing system that can detect single molecules in aqueous solution without the use of labels.
