Silicon photonic wire biosensor array for multiplexed real-time and label-free molecular detection
The authors show a unique development for biological sensing of antibody–antigen binding, based upon silicon photonic wire technology. They use a spiral waveguide configuration for increased sensor surface and monitor the output waveguides of the Mach–Zehnder interferometers with an infrared camera to determine the phase shift on binding in real time.
