Optimizing 2.3 μm emission with cascade laser of 3H43H5 and 3F43H6 sequent transitions in Tm:YLF

Abstract

We study cascade laser configuration in Tm:YLF . We demonstrate that this effect can either double the laser power at 2.3 W or extinguish it depending on the Tm-doping.
