Photonic coherence effects from dual-waveguide coupled pair of co-resonant microring resonators: erratum

Abstract

This erratum reports a correction of a typographical error in the theoretical study of coupled optical microring resonators [Opt. Express 23, 12573–12587 (2015) [CrossRef] [PubMed] ]. The results and conclusions of the published work remain valid.

There is a typographical error in Eq. (3) in [1], where a factor of 1/2 is missing in the phase term appearing in the numerator. The correct expression should read as

ρ_{j} = \frac{E_{ρ_{j}}}{E_{0}} = \frac{- t_{j} {t^{'}}_{j} a_{j}^{1 / 2} exp(i ϕ_{j} / 2)}{1 - r_{j} {r^{'}}_{j} a_{j} exp(i ϕ_{j})} .

This correction, however, does not affect the results and conclusions of the original article as the correct expression was applied in all calculations.
