Linear and nonlinear optical characterization of self-assembled, large-area gold nanosphere metasurfaces with sub-nanometer gaps: errata

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

We correct a nomenclature error for the plasmon ruler equation used to fit the simulation data in Fig. 2(d) [Opt. Express 24, 27360 (2016)].

After the manuscript was published [1], we found an error in the nomenclature used to describe the plasmon ruler equation, y=ae(x/b)+c. The correct expression isy=a+be(x/c), wherea=618nm, b=460nm, c=0.550nm are for the metasurface (solid red line in Fig. 2(d)) and a=571nm, b=245nm, c=0.474nmare for the dimer (solid purple line in Fig. 2(d)). All of the conclusions of the manuscript are unchanged by this correction.
