Sub-wavelength grating-assisted polarization splitter-rotators for silicon-on-insulator platforms: erratum

Open Access Open Access

Abstract

An erratum is presented to correct the caption of Fig. 1 and the citation number in Fig. 7(d) in the original article [Opt. Express 27, 17581 (2019) [CrossRef]  ].

In the caption of Fig. 1 in Ref. [1], two parameter values, W$_1$ = 450 nm and W$_2$ = 600 nm, of the adiabatic nano-taper are incorrect, the correct numbers should be W$_1$ = 600 nm and W$_2$ = 700 nm. The corrected figure caption is: Fig. 1: (a) 3D view of our air-clad PSR with mode profiles at various points along the device; (b) top view of the adiabatic nano-taper; (c) top view of the SWG-assisted adiabatic coupler with labelled design parameters. The parameters in these segments are as follows: in (b), W$_1$ = 600 nm, W$_2$ = 700 nm, W$_3$ = 900 nm (given that W$_{\textrm{input}}$ = 450 nm), L$_1$ = 6 $\mu$m, L$_2$ = 30 $\mu$m, and L$_3$ = 15 $\mu$m; in (c), L$_4$ = 100 $\mu$m, $\Lambda$ = 200 nm, $g$ = 100 nm, W$_3$ = 900 nm, W$_4$ = 200 nm, W$_5$ = 650 nm, and W$_6$ = 800 nm.

In Fig. 7(d) of Ref. [1] (in this erratum, Fig. 1), the citation [11] is incorrect, the correct citation should be [12]. The corrected figure is:
