The authors in Ref. [1] like to have an addendum to acknowledge the following previous work [2,3] for their distributed pumping scheme and results.
a. Y. Wang, C.-Q. Xu, and H. Po, “Thermal effects in kilowatt fiber lasers,” IEEE Photonics Technol. Lett. 16, 63–65 (2004).
b. Y. Wang, C.-Q. Xu, and H. Po, “Analysis of Raman and thermal effects in kilowatt fiber lasers,” Opt. Commun.242, 487–502 (2004).
The simulation for temperature distribution along the fiber in Ref. [1] is based on the air-cooling condition.
