Abstract
A frequency interleaved multiplexing DWDM-ROF system was designed to improve the optical spectrum efficiency. In this system, each gap between carrier and the sideband is fully utilized. In the proposed scheme, two chances of baseband signals and two carriers for wireless applications with a data rate of 2.5Gbit/s, other two chances of baseband signals for wired for applications. The signals are distributed over 50-km single-mode fiber without any compensation. Meanwhile we designed a novel demultiplexer based on Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) for this system. The simulation experiment verified the feasibility of the proposed method, and also showed good ability to resist the channel crosstalk.
