Polarization rotation in bilayered plasmonic metamaterials

Abstract

A linear polarization rotator is constructed by using two pairs of planar SRR structures with a certain twist angle. Numerical results show that chiral metamaterial can achieve strong optical activity of linearly polarized electromagnetic waves.
