Abstract
We address the performances of signals propagating through both directions of a hybrid few-mode-fiber (FMF) and multi-core-fiber (MCF) link. MCF-crosstalk enhanced by the few-mode receiver yields an additional 0.9dB penalty when the FMF precedes the MCF in the link.
